Ryerson Woods

Genius Loci - Learning from Nature's Muse

I displayed a series of watercolors titled Roadtrip: The Seasons at Ryerson Woods as part of a group show highlighting works that capture the spirit of the natural environment. Curator Frank Mercurio commented, "Seen together, these near-abstract, small-scale images—painted on postcard-sized paper—read as stills from a film, capturing a sense of movement through time and through the landscape."

Floriole Cafe & Bakery

Ongoing Exhibit

A recurring theme in my work has been paintings of food. Inspired by Thiebaud's paintings of cakes, I embarked on a series of birthday cakes (candles and all) that found a home at Floriole in Chicago. In addition to the cakes, a collection of my food-related still-lifes are featured throughout the cafe.
